Connect your bank over EBICS

With EBICS, Mast fetches your statements from your bank every morning and imports them. You have no more files to download.

What Mast does

  • Every morning

Every morning, Mast fetches the previous day’s camt.053 statement, which your bank draws up at the end of each day.

  • No duplicates

Each statement goes to the account with its IBAN, with no duplicates of what you already imported.

  • Read only

Mast only downloads your statements: no payment goes through EBICS.

  • Your keys, encrypted

Mast creates your EBICS keys. Their private part never leaves Mast, where it is stored encrypted.

One statement a day, the next morning

EBICS delivers the end-of-day statement, not each movement as it happens: a payment received today reaches Mast tomorrow morning.

  1. During the day

Your payments go out and your receipts come in on your account.

  2. At the end of the day

Your bank draws up the day’s camt.053 statement.

  3. The next morning

Mast fetches it over EBICS and imports it into the right account, ready to reconcile.

The steps, by bank

EBICS is opened company by company: ask our team for it, then follow your bank’s steps.

Frequently asked questions

What is EBICS?

The channel Swiss banks offer companies to exchange files with their accounting software. Mast uses it to fetch your camt.053 statements.

How long does it take?

In Mast, the connection takes a few minutes to prepare. The rest depends on your bank: the contract, then the activation once your letters arrive.

Can Mast make payments over EBICS?

No. Mast only downloads your statements. Your payments leave from your e-banking, with the pain.001 files Mast prepares.

Where are my keys kept?

Mast creates your EBICS keys. Their private part never leaves Mast, where it is stored encrypted.

What if my bank changes its keys?

Mast stops fetching your statements at once and asks you to check the bank’s new keys, then to confirm them.

What if I have several accounts?

Each statement goes to the Mast account with its IBAN. If an IBAN has no account in Mast yet, the statement is kept: add the account, then import it again.

Can my fiduciary handle it?

Yes, if they may manage bank accounts in Mast. At UBS, say so in the questionnaire: the connection is then used by a third party.

What if my bank does not offer EBICS?

Import your camt.053 statement, the standard format of Swiss banks, from your e-banking: Mast reconciles it the same way. bLink, the open banking service from SIX, is coming soon. If your statements already land on a server, at your fiduciary for example, Mast can also fetch them there over SFTP.
